Establishing Shot – 3rd Dog’s Story

“Hillary’s America” Trailer

In his shocking new film, Dinesh D’Souza exposes the secret history of the Democrats and the real motivations of Hillary before the election this year.

There’s more to the story!

3rd Dog Script’s screenplay Peace Lily exposes the secret history of the deplorable culture at the Department of Veterans Affairs and how the Clinton’s established this culture.  It’s no “mistake” both are being exposed in the media today.  This post is for all those individuals suffering from PTSD from exposure to the Clinton culture or what I’ll label spiritual Agent Orange.

Establishing shots – Peace Lily

An establishing shot in filmmaking and television production sets up or establishes the context for a scene by showing the relationship between its important figures and objects.

Establishing shots were more common during the classical era of filmmaking than they are now. Today’s filmmakers tend to skip the establishing shot to move the scene along more quickly. – Wikipedia

A security GUARD wears a sloppy uniform, bad attitude, and stands next to a dilapidated metal detector.  A large picture…  VA emblem.

ON THE WALL:  President Clinton

Sophia stands inside the metal detector.

Walk through the metal detector.

Sophia steps beyond the metal detector.

The Guard slowly moves a WAND up and down her body.

The guard presses a button and wand BEEPS and FLASHES RED.  It hovers over Sophia’s butt for several beats.

Do you have any weapons on you?

I need to pat you down.

No! I don’t have a weapon.  Why?

He touches the sides of her breast and then caresses her butt.

Seats filled with VETERANS appalled.  The guard’s eyes fixed on Sophia.

You may go now.

That wasn’t necessary!

I used the classic style in the establishing scene/shot for Peace Lily because it represents the Golden thread in the script.  The context or the relationship between the important figure, President Clinton, and the object, Department of Veterans Affairs (a government agency), is to demonstrate how often subordinates are easily influenced by and follow their leader’s behavior.  I couldn’t follow the leaders’ behavior and found it quite difficult to watch my best friend subjected to the deplorable actions of the sick individuals who chose to go down the low road of sexual harassment, corruption, and destructive behaviors.  I decided to transform the negative into a positive with creative action.

We need to discuss all base people who are in a position of power such as Bill Clinton and Hillary Clinton.  Let’s all be victors and not victims to support behaviors displayed and perpetrated by BOTH sexes and openly expose their crimes.  It was impossible for women harmed by Bill Clinton’s actions to fight Hillary Clinton’s power grab.  When a woman who’s considered powerful supports an abusive man, the female victim is discredited.  One of my characters in Peace Lilly was an evil woman, who displayed her desire for promotion by lying on women who were victimized by male leaders.  She was promoted, and she fostered a hostile environment for women.  She was #withherself just as Hillary Clinton’s campaign tagline displays this selfishness  -#Imwithher. In contrast, Donald Trump, a businessman, has chosen to rise to the occasion and take a leadership position.  Yes, women leaders who go against other women who are victims of sexual harassment prove to be all of themselves and set a precedent for the rest of the world to abuse women too.  My screenplay shows that women who support horrible crimes against other women may get the power grab they sell out for in the short time, but in the long run, they go to jail.

“A General Lack of Care” is another line on the Golden Thread within Peace Lily which was written from my diary of events experienced at the Department of Veterans Affairs from 1991 to 2003.

In this classic coming-of-age and underdog story the innocent but stubborn heroine confronts evil in many hilarious scenes to eventually conquer the bad guys.  Problems occur when the villain feels threatened by Sophia’s knowledge of his corruption.  He and his cohorts try to get rid of Sophia by any means.  In the end, the heroine wins by exposing the truth.

The blatant hypocrisy in claiming to serve veterans while stealing funds, ignoring and destroying veterans claims, and not caring if veterans die to wait for care led me to believe VA leaders did not think they would suffer any consequences for their actions.  That’s when I started looking into the President’s actions and his wife, Hillary Clinton.  It is common for people to follow their leader’s behavior as most people admire leaders.  While searching beyond the headline news about Monica Lewinsky, I found all manner of corruption.  To grasp the details on what type of corruption, hypocrisy, and connections to government agencies, one only needs to watch the news, documentaries, or read the constant leaks coming out on both Bill and Hillary Clinton.  I looked at the Clinton culture ignite inside the Department of Veterans Affairs and grow as if that agency were too big to fail like the banks. The leaders at Department of Veterans Affairs copied the actions of the Clintons.

For those individuals suffering from PTSD from exposure to Clinton culture, the best treatment is to transform the negative into a positive by doing something productive to stop the madness.  Be creative!

The Brand StoryHome

…is in honor and memory of Tessa, my small Maltese born October 6, 1993, and passed away September 18, 2009.

I was considered the 3rd dog in Tessa’s pack. Her first master was the first dog, Tessa was the second dog, and I was the third dog. No matter what I’d do to gain respect or position in Tessa’s eyes… I was “ the third dog.” She was so adorable and such a character. I caved to her demands…and she was very demanding…which brought me joy and contentment. Her demands were begging for food and sitting on my lap.

Tessa had a few quirky personality traits based on her past…growing up in a less than ideal environment thrown into the backyard with two Dobermans to fend for herself. She was about 3 pounds at that time the runt and a spitfire. Not far from being a replica of me….she made me smile with joy at her attitude.

Quite the problem solver

She also liked mischief and got herself into some severe problems. Like the time she discovered chocolate candy on the coffee table and laid in wait for her moment to snatch the candy bars run upstairs and hide them under the bed until nightfall. In the middle of the night, I awoke to a banging noise. It was Tessa banging her water bowl against the metal stairs to get my attention. I soon discovered several empty candy wrappers, piles of vomit everywhere, and Tessa hitting the bowl. It is unbelievable that she survived that terrible episode eating more candy bars than I could… at one time!

Filled with inspiration

She will always be my inspiration and a reminder of perfection.

As I emerged in the second half of my journey as a storyteller, launched myself into the world of screenwriting, and left behind an entirely different phase of my life, I also had to let go of my friend…my companion my little spitfire Tessa.

I will forever be the 3rd dog.
